Description:

DHC tankless water heaters are ideal for residential and commercial point-of-use sink applications including: bathrooms, cabins and cottages, office buildings, stores, malls, warehouses, restaurants, and gas stations. They heat water instantaneously and endlessly at 99% efficiency as it flows through the unit. Because they do not store hot water like tank water heaters, they have no stand-by energy losses. Venting is not necessary and the compact European design can be installed with the unit visible. The hot water temperature delivered by a DHC depends on the incoming cold water temperature, the flow rate through the unit, and the size of the DHC model. They excel at supplying water at a constant temperature but the model must be carefully matched to the flow rate of the sink to operate properly.   • DHC 8-2 is designed to provide endless hot water at 99% efficiency for 1 medium-flow lavatory sink in warm or cool climates, or 1 high-flow lavatory sink or low-flow kitchen sink in warm climates
  • Requires 240 or 208-Volt electric service with 1 dedicated 30 Amp breaker and 10-Gauge copper wiring
  • Model must be carefully matched to the application in order to operate properly
  • Water connections are 1/2 in. NPT and should be detachable (such as braided steel flex connectors or isolation valves) to allow for easy servicing
  • Overheat safety protection and thermal protection reset are standard
  • Sleek European design is considerably smaller than a tank, saves space, and allows installation flexibility
